Phu Quoc is designated as a Special Economic Zone and the Vietnamese Government is allowing tourists to stay on the island for up to 30 days without Vietnam visa.

As said before, the governments of Vietnam and Myanmar signed an agreement to waive visa for their citizens visiting the other country within 14 days. The agreement will take effect from October 26, 2013.
