Up to now, Vietnam’s embassy in Pyongyang is the only Vietnamese representation in North Korea. This office provides services of visa issuance and consular legalization among others, and also the place that Vietnamese citizens in North Korea should contact immediately if they lose their passport.
To get a Vietnam visa, North Korea citizens/passport holders and residents have up to two (02) options to choose from:
- Get visa at the embassy: the applicants need to contact embassy of Vietnam in Pyongyang for visa application and processing;
- Get visa on arrival (also known as visa at the airport): the applicants will submit an online application form for visa approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department, and finally get visa stamped upon arrival at Vietnam airport. See how VOA works.
