Hello,

I’m an Australia citizen living in China and plan to travel to Vietnam on a cruise in Nov.
Do we need to apply for a visa before departing on the cruise or can we apply upon arrival at the port?

We would like to inform that at present we can only provide visa on arrival (Visa to be picked up at the arrival airport in Vietnam).

In your case, you are suggested to come directly to Vietnamese Embassy/ Consulate where you are living or staying to obtain your Vietnam visa there.

You need to take your passport, a passport-sized photo, and cash in person to the Consulate, where you will be interviewed about the purpose of your visit. You must also pay the stamping fee and wait in a few days to get the visa. Please note that the application procedures and fees may vary among countries and embassies/consulates.

I hold a Chinese Hong Kong passport and I want to travel to Vietnam by land crossing from Nanning. I understand the normal online visa is not good for land crossing. Pls tell me where can I apply for a entry visa to Vietnam for land crossing? Any help will be most appreciated.
