    Hi,

One of the documents required is “Documents issued by competent foreign authorities if they can prove that the person in question has original Vietnamese citizenship or of Vietnamese origin”. How do I get this document?

    Regards,
    David

    Hi,
I completed the application. I currently live in California. Where should I send my application? Can I send to the General Consulate office in San Francisco or the Embassy of Vietnam in Washington DC?
How much is the visa exemption fee? I check on http://mienthithucvk.mofa.gov.vn and the cost is 20$. Is it right?

  8. Julia says:

    @ Tom,
In your case you can send the document to either Embassy or Consulate.

You had better contact to them for more information.

    Best regards,
    Susan Nguyen

  9. How to Get a Passport?

    1. Go to http://www.itseasyservices.com
    2. Fill out the Application for Passport, Form DS-11. You can download this form online and bring it with you when you apply for your passport.
    3. Get two passport photos taken. The identical photos must be 2 inches by 2 inches. The pictures must offer a full, frontal view of your face, from the top of your head through your shoulders. The photo must be taken with a plain white background. Many post offices, photo studios and mailbox locations take passport photos for a nominal fee.
    4. Bring one of the following to the Passport Acceptance Facility to prove citizenship: previous U.S. passport, certified birth certificate, naturalization certificate or a certificate of citizenship.
    5. Bring proof of identity. A current driver’s license, government or military ID are the most common forms of identification. You can also bring a previous U.S. passport or naturalization certificate.

Was just wondering my son’s father is Vietnamese but we are not legally married can I get a visa for my son and how would I go about getting one for myself?
    Thanks and regards

    • Bella Bui says:

      Dear Holly Tran,

If your son and you are not Vietnamese passport holders, please apply for Vietnam visa before getting Vietnam. And visa on arrival is totally applicable if you are traveling to Vietnam by air.

      Kindly regards,
      Bella Bui
