    I hve 2 questions:
    1. So as of right now, no one can extend/renew their visa for 6 months?
    2. How about leaving the country when my current visa is expired and coming back with a brand new visa? Can I get a multiple entry 6 months?
    Thank you!

    To Jay,
I would like to answer your questions as follows:
    1. Now, you can only renew or extend for 3 months visa.
    2. If you leave Vietnam and then enter Vietnam again, you can apply for 3 month visa as the maximum duration of a visa to Vietnam is 3 months.

    Regards,
    Julia

So I’m confused, can I get the 3 months visa prior to entering Vietnam and then extending it while I’m there for another 3 months or how does this work?

    Hi,

I have a few questions also:
    - My friend holds Finnish citizenship (which means he can stay in Vietnam for 2 weeks without a visa) and he wants to go to Vietnam to stay, travel and look for a job. The Vietnamese embassy in Finland said that they only give out 1-month visas, so what should he do now? Can he go to Vietnam and then apply for some other papers there?

    - I saw in Vietnam immigration website, a Vietnamese person or organisation can sponsor for a foreigner, so what kind of relation this person needs to have with the foreign so that she can be the sponsor?

Thanks a lot indeed. I really appreciate your help!

Is a retirement visa available for Vietnam? I am an Australian citizen, and am looking into retiring in a SE Asian country, possibly Vietnam.

Hi – I am wanting to come and stay in Vietnam for mid August to end of January 2012 … I have already been to Vietnam twice in the last 6 months for 1 week each time. (australian passport) I am imagining that this time I apply for a 3 month multiple entry visa (i am wanting to explore some of the surrounding countries whilst i am over there) and then either apply for an extension before that one expires or else leave the country and apply for another 3 month visa … is that correct? either way, just want to make sure I can spend the 6 months in Vietnam.

Hi, just to check i haven’t misunderstood, I am going to be coming to Vietnam as part of my gap year in November. I will then be staying for three months before travelling to Australia and then I’ll be going back to Vietnam for three months. So would it be possible to apply for both 3 month mvisas in the UK before leaving or do I need to get one now and one after the first three months are up? Thankyou!

    • Bella Bui says:

      Dear Charlotte,

You can apply two different visa applications for your entries in November and February at the same time. Just to be sure that your plans have been in scheduled to avoid any changes in arrival dates outside valid period approved in visa approval letter.

      Kindly regards,
      Bella Bui
